Associates Programmes - FAQ

Professional Associates Programme

--What documents do I need to provide for the professional associates programme?
Professionals should submit a CV and a letter of application explaining what they would bring to the ICFR, together with one professional recommendation. Shortlisted candidates would be invited for a meeting with ICFR staff.  The ICFR is seeking to have a variety of professional interests represented. Please send those details via email to ProfessionalAssociates@icffr.org

--When will I know if I have been selected?
We will be considering the applications in batches, at which point we will get back to you.

--What is the time commitment for the professional associates programme?
This will, in part, be a function of location. In terms of participation in the work of the ICFR, we would expect the equivalent of 2 – 3 days per year.

-- What is the level of experience required for the professional associates programme?
We aim to assemble a group of individuals from varying backgrounds, experiences, and academic achievements so any application is welcome. Obviously, those with most directly relevant experience are most likely to be accepted. The programme is most useful for individuals who are interested in participating in the ICFR programme whose employers are not yet members of the ICFR.

--How many Associates will be named?
There is no set cap for the numbers of Associates being named, but given the organisations own size and management constraints, in the early stage of the programme, we would envisage no more than 5 – 10 initial Associates.

-- Do I need to have specific areas of interest within regulation?
It is preferable that you bring one or more specific areas of expertise to the ICFR which broaden the group’s skill set, but well motivated enthusiasm are also welcome.

--How long is the term?
Annual but renewable.

--Does location matter?
Candidates can apply from all areas of the world, broadening the diversity and input to the ICFR, though it may limit attendance at ICFR events.

--How do I get in contact with you?
